Research Guide for Law Co-curricular Organizations: Sports Negotiation

This guide presents resources primarily for Villanova University School of Law students participating in a Journal, Moot Court, Trial Team and the Sports Negotiations team.

Summer 2024 Sports Law Negotiation Team Tryouts

 

  •  Tryouts will take placeMay 20th - June 7th.  
  • If you are interested in signing up to tryout, please fill out this attached google form by Friday, May 10th
  • Accepting students for positions on:
    • Baseball
    • Basketball
    • Football
    • Hockey
    • Soccer
  • Tryouts will consist of a negotiation or arbitration style presentation with the captains of each team, as well as a written brief for the hockey tryout only.
  • Any student may try out for up to two teams.

If you are also interested in partaking in the write on competition, moot court, or trial team tryouts, you may participate in multiple tryout processes. Preference will be given for students partaking in the write on competition for tryout dates after the write on competition is completed. Students who are offered a position will be notified mid-June along with journal and moot court decisions, and students will be expected to accept or decline a position on the call.

Students may not partake in both SLNT and a journal or moot court.
