Technology for Remote Teaching: Recorded Links for Trainings

This guide offers options for synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded or self-paced) teaching as well as third party content that can be used as a substitute/addition to online teaching in the event of a law school closure or class cancellation.

Yellowdig

Yellowdig is a social media type of tool similar to a Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. What is the difference from Discussion Boards? Yellowdig may be more appealing/engaging to today's students who are familiar with and partial towards those platforms. Discussion Forums are more textual. The use of Topics in Yellowdig Boards provide an index to the conversation topics. Yellowdig Boards are one continuous discussion whereas Blackboard Discussion Forums tend to be segmented by topic or weeks. I think Blackboard Discussion Forums are useful. The main difference is the engagement factor.
