Federal Records

Bloomberg Law Dockets
Search by: court, keyword, docket number, one or more parties, judge, case name, attorney or firm and by date. Not exhaustive: covers US Federal and most state dockets; some international dockets as well. Federal dockets from 1989 to present while state docket coverage varies by court.
PACER Case Search
Requires account—anyone can get one, cost is 10 cents per page viewed, billed quarterly. If your research charges for the quarter are less than $15, then the fee is waived. NOTE: students have access to PACER documents through Bloomberg Law while in school and should use Bloomberg Law for docket research instead.

DC Inmate Locator
Searches are conducted over the phone. See link above for information needed for phone search.
New York Inmate Locator
Search by Department ID number or by last name and birth date.
Pennsylvania Inmate Locator
Search by name, inmate number, committing county, location etc.
Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator
Search by name or by BOP, INS, DCDC or FBI number to view inmate's age, race, sex and release date or prison where held. Can also narrow search by age, race or sex. Covers 1982 to present.

Contains a list of facility locations and contact information.

New Jersey Court Dockets - Find a Case
Can search civil, criminal, tax, judgement liens, municipal cases as well as attorney and judge disciplinary cases.
PA Appellate Court Dockets (Superior, Commonwealth, & Supreme)
Select the "Court Name" from the Search Type drop-down menu unless you have a specific docket number. Then enter the company's name in the "organization name" field. Change "Case Status" field to blank to search both open and closed cases. NOTE: you may need to try variations of the company name or search using the name of subsidiaries (see the Company Structure box for more information)
Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas--Criminal Dockets
Search by docket number, participant name, organization (police department), parcel (to search by address) or complaint number. Coverage years varies by county but this list shows the oldest date of coverage for each one (although records may not be 100% complete for early years): https://ujsportal.pacourts.us/RefDocuments/CPCMSCaseLoad.pdf

To access: use link above or log into Lexis+ and then click on the 9-dot "product switcher" in the upper left corner. Select "Public Records" from the menu to view available options.
